Documentation for AgentRun 0.1.0-beta.2. Use the matching setup instructions → GitHub’s main branch may include unreleased changes.

Add an AgentRun workflow to this project

Give this file to your coding agent. Use the actual AgentRun interpreter and Jev adapter. Keep the application's existing runtime, provider configuration, tools, permissions, and budgets.

Read first

If AgentRun is not checked out, clone https://github.com/Parcha-ai/agentrun.git on main into a new directory. If access is unavailable, report the failure. Do not replace it with an unrelated similarly named package. The packages are published on npm. Install @parcha/agentrun-dsl@beta and, for Jev decisions, @parcha/agentrun-jev@beta in the target application. Use the separate source checkout below to run the support example.

Establish a working baseline

Use Node 22.19+ (the checkout includes .nvmrc). In the checkout, run:

npm ci --ignore-scripts
npm run build
npm run demo:support
npm run test:support

Explain that these use the real DSL with scripted adapters, not live Jev or agents. Confirm all four scenarios, including escalation after one investigation. Do not describe fixture results as a live integration or quality benchmark.

Connect the existing runtime

  1. Inspect how this project supplies model access, tools, secrets, and cancellation. Reuse those interfaces. If the adapter contract is unclear, identify the missing detail instead of substituting a different provider.
  2. Check for TYPESAFE_API_KEY in the workflow's server environment without printing the value. If absent, direct the user to https://console.typesafe.ai/keys and https://docs.typesafe.ai/introduction/quickstart. Have them configure it through their existing secret mechanism; do not request that they paste a key into chat. A coding-agent login is separate from Jev access.
  3. Copy examples/support-answer-config.example.mjs to support.config.mjs. Implement runEffect for help.search and runNode for the existing agent. Register read-only support.read with the appropriate account scope. Forward the full agent request, including tools, schema, review, and cancellation. Keep secrets out of tracked files. A .env file needs an explicit loader.
  4. Run npm run demo:support -- payment --config ./support.config.mjs, or use --input with a JSON request suitable for this project. The live runner must use createJevRunner() and the existing host agent, with no scripted fallback. Report setup failures as failures.
  5. Inspect the trace. A reusable answer calls a tool and Jev. An investigation calls a tool, Jev, the agent, and Jev again. An unresolved result escalates. Never claim an agent or Jev was called without observed evidence.
  6. Wrap runLiveSupport as a callable tool only if it fits this host. Return its validated result or escalation to the calling agent. This example does not send messages or change customer accounts.

Report the result

List commands run, scripted versus live runs, observed tool/agent/Jev calls, final status, and remaining setup requirements. Do not disclose credentials, customer input, or raw provider responses. Do not invent token, cost, or accuracy improvements.
